Dwyane Wade suffered through a terrible divorce with wife and high school sweetheart Siohvaughn Wade who accused him of abandoning his children and committing adultery.
But the NBA star is nothing but a devoted father, winning a "Father of the Year" award in 2007 from the National Father's day committee and was recently appointed by President Obama to a new parenting program geared toward encouraging fathers to become more involved in their children's lives. Wade was awarded full custody of his sons Zaire and Zion and recently wrote a piece for Newsweek in which he describes fatherhood as being the most rewarding part of his life.
Wade writes, "All children need their fathers, but boys especially need fathers to teach them how to be men...I had a duty to fight to be with my kids, and I did."
